Boston Limited launch the Hardcore Detonator
Boston Limited is launching Hardcore Computer's high
performance Detonator“ liquid cooled workstation at Stand
1110.
In keeping with their tradition of producing first-to-market, high performance
technologies Boston Limited recently
announced a manufacturing deal with Hardcore Computer that will see the
company's machines built for the first time outside of the USA. As a specialist in performance
optimised, large scale, high profile, OEM build and manufacture, Boston will
handle the manufacturing and distribution of Hardcore branded solutions locally
for the UK, and Europe and other international regions.
The Hardcore Detonator” is a high performance liquid cooled workstation that
has been optimised to push the performance boundaries of today's processors,
graphics controllers and storage technologies further than ever before,
enabling designers, engineers and scientists to tackle the most demanding
professional applications " from reservoir simulations and seismic
imaging, to modeling and visualization " to accelerate development.
Unlike rival air cooled workstation solutions whose degree of performance
optimization is governed by air flow, the Detonator"'s fully immersive
cooling design allows the CPU's to be clocked to a staggering 4.8GHz+ with a
road-map to even higher frequencies. Also as air-flow is not wasted cooling non
critical components unnecessarily, the overall power consumption is in fact
lower in comparison to a 'conventional' system.
Hardcore Computer's patented total liquid submersion cooling technology is
1,350 times more efficient than air-cooled workstations; which is engineered to
keep the system running cooler, quieter and lasting longer with extraordinary
performance and stability.
Submersion cooling is the latest advancement in thermal dissipation
technologies for high performance workstations. Primary heat generating
components are submerged in CoreCoolant", a safe, odor-free, dielectric
liquid that absorbs heat more efficiently than conventional liquid cooling
systems. Continuous exposure to heat has been proven to reduce the reliability
and longevity of electronic components. Submersion cooling protects components
from extreme temperatures allowing them to run far cooler and at peak performance
in comparison to solutions using traditional air cooling techniques.
"Liquid submersion allows for
unparalleled system performance for applications like engineering analysis,
advanced scientific visualization, simulation and modeling," said Chad Attlesey, Hardcore Computer's president, chief
technology officer and founder. "We are proud to partner with Boston Limited to provide localized manufacture and sales,
delivering a minimum support response time while providing savings and
sustainability to their customers."
Fully custom-designed and built from the ground upwards, the Detonator's
uncompromised approach to workstation design provides unrivalled performance
levels alongside features such as redundant server-class power supplies,
hot-swappable hard disk drives and a rugged virtually indestructible outer case
constructed from military-grade aircraft aluminum.
Manoj Nayee, Managing Director at Boston Limited
said, "Hardcore machines offer relentless performance through liquid
submersion; giving a user experience of unrivalled reliability for
professionals demanding maximum power, speed and stability".
