Austrian Telecom Adopts Legato NetWorker with Celestra

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- Legato Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:LGTO) announced today that Austrian telecommunications provider ONE implemented Legato NetWorker(R) information protection solutions, including Legato(R) Celestra(R) Power for serverless backup of its high demand Oracle database, for a data center managing more than 32 terabytes and serving more than 1.5 million customers. Technical guidance and implementation strategy were jointly provided by Legato consulting services and IQproducts to protect a mix of platform, application, and service level needs within a Storage Area Network (SAN) environment. "Thanks to Celestra, backup processes no longer devour vital CPU and I/O resources. Our application servers are able to work at full capacity at any stage of this process. Legato NetWorker was the product that met our requirements entirely. By using Celestra Power, we were able to solve the problem posed by an ever-shrinking backup window perfectly. Now ONE has a completely automated backup and recovery solution that is centrally managed by Legato NetWorker 6. Legato NetWorker modules were also included among SAN solution components to enable online protection of ONE's non-Oracle database and messaging applications.
