i2 Inc. Wins $2M Federal Contract From FBI
SPRINGFIELD, VA -- i2 Inc. announced today that it has been awarded a $2M three-year contract from the Federal Bureau of Investigation to provide the agency with visual analysis software. i2 investigative analysis applications will be used by the FBI to combat sophisticated criminal activity. Under the terms of the contract, i2 will provide the FBI with its flagship product, the Analyst's Notebook(R). This award-winning software analyzes vast quantities of data in a range of visual formats that reveal hidden links and patterns between seemingly unrelated elements. The ability to uncover this information provides valuable insights into criminal activity and plays a key role in narrowing the focus of an investigation. The Analyst's Notebook also enables the criminal analyst to further explore and analyze the data from several perspectives to confirm previous assumptions or reject a working hypothesis. "We're very excited and proud to have the opportunity to deliver powerful analytical tools to America's premiere law enforcement agency," said Phil Erwin, i2 Inc. Vice President and General Manager. "Our cutting-edge technology and close collaboration with law enforcement will serve the FBI well." National Sales Manager Todd Drake added, "It is extremely gratifying that i2 products have been selected to provide investigative and intelligence
solutions for the FBI's demanding environment." i2 analytical tools are used extensively in law enforcement to manage the increasingly complex nature of crime.
