Argonne Labs Engages Executive Venture Partners to Assess Value of Tech Assets
ATLANTA, GA -- BrainWorks Ventures, Inc. (OTC BB: BRAV) announced that its Executive Venture Partners subsidiary has signed an agreement with Argonne National Laboratory to assist Argonne Labs maximize the value of its technology assets. Executive Venture Partners has developed a system and methodology for venture consulting that it is implementing to support technology and research functions at Argonne Labs. "Argonne is seen as one of the crown jewels of the Information Technology industry. Much of the basic technology in use today originated at Argonne Labs," said Robert H. Cawly, president and managing partner of Executive Venture Partners. Founded by economist Dr. Donald Ratajczak, BrainWorks Ventures is a venture development and asset management company focused on developing a portfolio of high-growth business opportunities emerging from corporations and universities. In May 2001, BrainWorks Ventures acquired Executive Venture Partners, a boutique consulting practice that specializes in corporate venturing. Executive Venture Partners works with large corporations and government research laboratories to identify undervalued assets that can be commercialized. Executive Venture Partners then provides the resources and management talent to build a business around those assets. Executive Venture Partners also works with businesses to establish corporate venturing programs that manage corporate venture capital funds designed to make strategic investments.
