SUNNYVALE, CA -- Amdahl Corporation today announced that the company has renewed its iForce(SM) Systems Integrator contract with Sun Microsystems(R), Inc. into 2004, with automatic extensions for another two years. Under the terms of the agreement, which extends a relationship first established in 1993, Amdahl will re-market Sun's hardware and software products as important components of Amdahl's infrastructure design, deployment, integration, and maintenance services recently launched under the InfraCare(TM) services brand. Amdahl recently announced SunTone(SM) certification of its InfraCare(TM) service for the delivery of integrator services in North America and Europe. "For more than seven years, Amdahl and Sun have worked together to create future-proof, enterprise computing systems," said Larry Fillmer, President of Amdahl IT Services. Under the terms and conditions of the original agreement, Amdahl sold more than 3,500 Sun Microsystems' servers to over 300 customers in 14 countries. The new agreement extends the relationship to 18 nations.
