ANSYS: First Finite Element Analysis Provider to Win ISO 9001:2000 Certification
CANONSBURG, PA -- ANSYS, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANSS)
announced today its status as an ISO 9001:2000 certified company. ANSYS, Inc.
is the first and, thus far, only engineering simulation software provider to
achieve this certification. A recent ISO certification audit conducted by Underwriters Laboratories,
Inc. (UL) concluded that ANSYS, Inc. has an internal quality assurance system
worthy of such distinction. This system is comprised of more than 7,200
ongoing software verification tests and more than 1,600 platform acceptance
tests. Additionally, ANSYS, Inc. completed this certification with no need
for corrective actions, noted by UL auditor J. Scott Kiphart as a rare
