PROMISE Technology will exhibit in Computex Taipei 2011, May 31 to June 4, booth J218. PROMISE will present its total RAID storage solutions at the show, including their innovative solutions for Cloud Storage, Enterprise Data Centers and Rich-media. Also being showcased is the market's first hardware RAID storages solution, Pegasus, featuring Thunderbolt Technology. Other dynamic demonstrations will highlight PROMISE storage solutions for Surveillance, Virtualization and SMB NAS Backup.

Computex Taipei is the second largest ICT show in the world, next to CeBIT in Germany. Over 1800 exhibitors will present in Computex 2011, attracting over 36,000 visitors, observers, analysts, and journalists of computer and information industries from all over the world to discover and report the latest technologies, developments, and trends.

Cloud Storage and Data Center Solution - For cloud service providers and enterprises' Data Center, PROMISE VTrak series provides a high availability, high performance and cost effective solution. The VTrak S3000 storage appliance provides several storages services such as thin provisioning, effective remote replication and snapshot, utilize the management capability of VTrak storage systems. VTrak x30 Series is powered by Intel Xeon C3500 processor, equipped with quad 8G FC port per controller, providing 4x performance from its previous generation. VTrak x30 series is the best fit solution for performance-eager Data Center environments.

Cloud Storage Appliance by III - PROMISE Technology will demo a storage appliance jointly developed by Taiwan's III (The Institute for Information Industry).The Cloud Storage Appliance delivers an affordable "plug-and-play" capability which allows enterprise users to easily synchronize their documents and files across variety of devices, including both traditional computer workstations and mobile devices, one click sharing, and control and track the history of changes made to their documents and files. The Appliance can be installed and operated with minimal requirements for IT staff, support and skills and is presently running on PROMISE's x86-based VessAPP or SmartStor NSx700 NAS.

Rich-media/ Post-production Solution - VTrak x30 Series is the qualified storage solution for Apple Mac OS X. This new addition to the PROMISE family of high-performance storage solutions, the x30 features 8G FC ports. The x30 Series leverages Intel Xeon C3500 processors and is fully tested with Mac OS X, Xsan and Final Cut Studio for the ultimate in post production technology solutions.

Storage Solution with Thunderbolt Technology - Pegasus is world's first hardware RAID storage enclosure, the Pegasus R6 6-bay RAID enclosure provides astonishing throughput of over 800MB/s. For the new MacBook Pro and iMac with Thunderbolt ports, the PROMISE SANLink Fibre Channel adapter enables Mac users to connect to SAN via Thunderbolt ports.

Surveillance Storage Solution - PROMISE will demo a series of IP Surveillance working with partner's NVR/DVR hardware, or software solution. PROMISE VessRAID 1000i series iSCSI storage features 8 to 16 HDDs, with the capabilities of several RAID level support and scalable JBOD expansion. VessRAID 1000i series provides an ideal generic external storage for NVR/DVR venders. PROMISE will also demostrate its VessAPP 1810i, a x86 based appliance with native RAID engine support, that functions also as a network video recorder perfect for small to midsize scale installations.

VMWare Ready and CITRIX Ready solution for Virtualization - The VessRAID 1000 Series had been both verified as "VMware Ready" and "Citrix Ready" status that helps customers confront today's virtualization, networking, and cloud computing challenges in the changing IT environments. This makes it easy for IT professionals to enhance business's existing virtualization footprint with increased flexibility and benefits.

SMB NAS Backup Solution - Powered by Intel Atom D510 processor, the SmartStor NSx700 series NAS provides the necessary performance for SMB users, providing over 210MB/s over iSCSI configuration. SmartStor NSx700 integrates several backup features, such as Amazon S3 service and Mac OS X time machine support. Moreover, the SmartStor NSx700 comes with Acronis Backup and Restore NAS edition, allowing SMB users to back up their Windows servers and computers to SmartStor NASes.
