Fowler also discussed Oracle’s storage portfolio, including Pillar Axiom Storage Systems and Oracle’s new third-generation Sun ZFS Storage Appliances, which offer enterprise NAS functionality, and best-in-class performance, efficiency, data integrity and integration with Oracle software.

Oracle Chief Corporate Architect Edward Screven joined Fowler to discuss Oracle Linux and Oracle’s Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel, a highly optimized kernel for the Oracle Linux operating system. He also covered Oracle Virtualization, the most complete, open and integrated virtualization offering from desktop-to-datacenter which includes Oracle VM 3.0 and Oracle VM for SPARC, optimized for Oracle’s SPARC T4 servers.
