Teradici to Showcase Newest PC-over-IP Solutions at VMware vForum 2011 in Sydney, Australia

Teradici announced that it will be showcasing its full range of PC-over-IP solutions in booth #70 at VMware vForum, which will take place at the Sydney Exhibition and Convention Center on October 19 and 20.

Teradici will offer live demonstrations of a number of PCoIP solutions, including:

-- Datacenter solutions such as the new APEX 2800 server offload card: Specifically designed to offload PCoIP image encoding from the server CPU in VMware View VDI environments, the APEX 2800 delivers a significant reduction in CPU utilization and consistent application performance. The card will be available for sale in December 2011 in Australia and New Zealand through Teradici master distribution partner EVGA Corporation.

-- PCoIP zero client solutions for knowledge worker and workstation markets ranging from standalone devices to Power-over-Ethernet VoIP phones, integrated monitors, and more: Powered by the PCoIP hardware engine, PCoIP zero clients virtually eliminate the need for desktop management by containing no CPU, application OS, device drivers, fan or hard drive.

-- Virtual desktops over a long distance WAN -- from Vancouver, Canada to Sydney, Australia.

-- PCoIP Software release 3.8 in VMware View 5.0: The PCoIP Software release 3.8 offers bandwidth improvement by up to 75 percent, enhanced session resilience for mobile users, and software session statistics to improve end user session management and performance monitoring.

-- As a demonstration of the high-performance capability of the PCoIP protocol, attendees can take a test drive on the Teradici "Drive by Wire" driving simulation game system. "Drivers" will experience the highest performing remote computing solution available today.

Teradici Breakout Session

Teradici CTO Randy Groves will also present at a breakout session entitled "Taking the PCoIP Protocol to the Next Level" on Wednesday, October 19 @ 2:10pm.

In this session, Teradici CTO Randy Groves will discuss how the PCoIP protocol within VMware View, PCoIP zero clients, and server offload cards delivers an uncompromised user experience, exceptional data security and lower IT management costs. Groves will also review major updates to the PCoIP protocol in VMware View 5 and discuss additional new solutions that Teradici will deliver this year.

"Teradici will be demonstrating its full suite of PCoIP solutions--from the data center to the virtual desktop--at this year's vForum," said Trent Punnett, vice president of marketing, product management and systems engineering, Teradici. "With interactive product demos, knowledgeable PCoIP experts on hand, and our unique 'Drive by Wire' simulation driving game demo showcasing the ultimate in high-performance remote workstation computing, the Teradici booth will offer attendees a chance to see the full breadth of PCoIP solutions available to enterprises today."
