Tropos Expands Availability of Its Secure Wireless Broadband Communications for Range of Military Base Applications
Tropos Networks has announced an expansion of its availability within the federal market. For federal agencies that require a secure, reliable, outdoor hardened wireless communications infrastructure, Tropos is field-proven with the capacity to support multiple fixed and mobile applications such as those typically found on military bases -- Smart Grid, public safety, video security, Internet access, and more.
To expand its federal market reach, Tropos is working with Four Points Technology, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business dedicated to providing IT products and professional services to the federal government. Through this relationship, Four Points Technology will offer Tropos’ full suite of FIPS 140-2 certified wireless broadband products and services under its NASA SEWP contract, enabling federal government agencies to purchase at significant discounts.

Tropos is used today by more than 800 customers around the world as a communications foundation for aggregating multiple demanding applications from Smart Grid to mobile public safety. It provides a reliable and resilient foundation with multi-layered security, including FIPS 140-2 certification, and centralized management and control.
