Rogue Wave Software Announces Availability of TotalView Software for HP-UX Platform

Rogue Wave Software has announced that its TotalView code analysis software is now available for mission-critical HP Integrity systems running HP-UX 11i v3 operating system.

TotalView is widely used among developers that are tasked with ensuring the quality of particularly complex applications, such as those that are architecturally or computationally intricate. For decades, it's been a staple among developers that build applications for deployment on supercomputers, but as more and more commercial IT shops find themselves building exceptionally complicated software, TotalView is fast becoming an important part of Enterprise IT's tool set.

"TotalView dramatically simplifies debugging and memory analysis, most notably for applications that are data-intensive, multi-threaded, or distributed across a network or cluster," says Sean FitzGerald, senior vice president of Engineering at Rogue Wave Software. "Its unique representation of large and complex data structures, combined with its unparalleled scripting capabilities for batch debugging, make it vitally important in the tool arsenal of any developer building mission-critical applications. We were delighted to work with HP in providing our leading-edge debugger to their Enterprise clients."

"For enterprise customers running mission-critical applications in a high-performance environment, downtime is simply not an option," said Katie Curtin-Mestre, director, Business Critical Systems Software Product Planning and Marketing at HP. "TotalView running on HP-UX 11i v3 provides the right set of tools for software developers to help ensure high availability while maximizing productivity."
