RAID Incorporated Announces the Launch of Xanadu 260 Storage Solution Purpose-Built for HPC File Systems

RAID Incorporated has announced the launch of the Xanadu 260; the Xanadu 260 is a 4U form with 60 front mounted removable 3.5 drives that can hold 180TB in a single enclosure. This is RAID Inc.'s latest highly dense and high-performing storage solution based around 6Gb SAS architecture, with the lowest power consumption and IOPs/Watt. The high performance and dense architecture of the Xanadu 260 provides organizations a competitive edge to maximize job productivity with up to 4GB/s performance.

Delivering 4x HPC leading throughput and IOPs per industry standard rack, with up to 40GB/s demonstrated sustained drive reads per rack, the Xanadu 260 storage system is a key component in Lustre and GPFS implementations. Each 4U building block consists of 60 front loaded drives which can sustain 4GB/s. Utilizing a parallel file system to combine multiple Xanadu 300 systems together into one logical array, users can scale to 1.8PB of capacity and 40GB/s of performance in a 42U Rack.

The Xanadu 260 is the fastest selling solution we have ever launched with backorders accumulating before the official launch stated Marc Dizoglio EVP of HPC sales.
