Call for presentation proposals issued by AMD Fusion Developer Summit
The AMD Fusion Developer Summit conference board issued on Tuesday a call for presentation proposals from software development leaders in heterogeneous and GPU computing.
Speakers will receive free conference admission, three nights of compensated hotel accommodations and an invitation to a VIP Speaker Event. No other financial details were disclosed.
According to the company, the inaugural AMD Fusion Developer Summit (AFDS) will be held on 13-16 June 2011 in Bellevue, Washington and presentation proposals must be submitted by 4 February 2011. All proposals will be reviewed by a conference board and selected candidates will be notified by 16 March 2011.
Presentation proposals are invited on the following topics: multimedia; content management; user interface; web; security; server and data centre; high performance computing; programming models; and tools.
The conference aims to gather developers, academics and innovators who are developing next-generation software. The summit will enable software developers to learn more about Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) technology and programming methodologies using application programming interfaces (APIs) such as OpenCL, OpenGL and Microsoft DirectCompute, among others.
