Pliant Technology Featured on Lead411's Technology 500 List
Pliant Technology has announced that it has been selected to the Lead411 Technology 500 list of the fastest growing tech companies in the U.S. The company is featured at the number five spot due to its enormous growth over the past two years.
Pliant's Lightning Enterprise Flash Drives (EFDs) are based on an advanced controller design and software architecture that delivers dramatic I/O performance and reliability improvements over existing solid state drive (SSD) technology and low energy consumption in demanding enterprise computing environments.
"We have developed EFDs as a new class of ultra-high performance, energy-efficient solid state drives in order to meet the demanding performance and reliability needs of data centers and other high performance computing environments," said Greg Goelz, vice president of marketing, Pliant Technology. "The Pliant Lightning EFD family of products offers enterprise-class reliability and endurance not available with any other SSD solution on the market today."
The mission of the Technology 500 is to recognize and rank the fastest growing technology companies in the United States. Rankings are derived from revenue growth by percent from the year 2007 to the year 2009. All information is self-reported from these private company applicants. To qualify each company must have over $1M in 2009 yearly revenues and be within the technology industry. Although in its first year of existence, the award received over 1,000 applicants.
"We created the Technology 500 Awards as a way to recognize companies that have the success formula right," said Tom Blue, founder of Technology 500 and Lead411. "We are very pleased and feel fortunate to have Pliant Technology included."
