Tomorrow in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Mathematics, Santiago Compostela, CESGA High Performance Computing and Networking 2010, annual scientific day, will link research groups and companies interested in innovation using computational tools.

At 10:00 am the President of CESGA, Ricardo Pueyo Chapel, the Rector of the University of Santiago de Compostela, Juan Casares Long, and Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, USC, Maria Victoria Otero Espinar inaugurate the conference.

The search for new drugs against malaria or Alzheimer's disease, climate-ocean simulations Prediction System Navy or the optimized design of wind turbines are some use cases which will be discussed at this conference, involving scientific groups in Spain, companies from different sectors and institutions and agencies. The challenges and future needs, provided by users of today and the opportunity to meet the infrastructure and technologies available in the Supercomputing Center of Galicia, make this annual meeting a must for all researchers, innovators and engineers whose business depends or turns around the use of computer systems, storage or advanced networks for modeling, simulation and virtual prototyping.
