Appro & XtremeData Demonstrate FPGA Processing in Financial Applications

Appro and XtremeData, a leader in FPGA-based In-Socket Accelerators, will demonstrate performance acceleration of a full double-precision floating point Monte Carlo financial simulation analysis at the SIFMA Technology Management Conference in New York, NY, June 10-12, booth 3105. This demonstration combines the Intel QuickAssist Technology, Appro's high performance HyperServer based on Quad-Core Intel Xeon processors, XtremeData's XD2000 family of In-Socket Accelerators (ISA), and the new XtremeRNG library of building blocks for random number generation (RNG) to significantly accelerate financial and scientific Monte Carlo applications. The XD2000 provides application acceleration over 10X versus single-precision only GPUs, while simultaneously reducing overall system power consumption, maintaining support for error correction codes, and offering full support for double-precision math.
