ScaleMP to Showcase Latest Innovations at SC10

ScaleMP has announced its participation in the 2010 International Conference for High Performance Computing Networking, Storage and Analysis (SC10) taking place November 15-18, 2010, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. ScaleMP will be exhibiting in booth 3239, demonstrating its recently released vSMP Foundation 3.5 software-based solution, which aggregates the power of multiple commodity x86 servers into one larger CPU and memory-virtual SMP.

ScaleMP founder and CEO Shai Fultheim will also be presenting a pre-show customer session at HP-CAST 15 Worldwide User Group Conference at the JW Marriott Hotel, Saturday, November 13 from 8-10 am. The focus will be real-life use cases of virtual SMP, hosting vSMP Foundation customers Southern Methodist University and 454-Roche.

ScaleMP's breakthrough approach provides customers in industries like energy, higher-education and research, life sciences, manufacturing and finance with the computational horsepower required for the most demanding applications and workloads, while dramatically lowering high-end computing costs by as much as 80 percent.

“Our customers have already benefited from vSMP Foundation’s software-based solution as an alternative to proprietary SMP systems,” said Fultheim. “We look forward to showing SC10 attendees how they can apply our various offerings for SMP, cluster and cloud to reduce OPEX and CAPEX, streamline management and gain the ability to ‘pay as you grow’.”

During SC10, ScaleMP will be showcasing its vSMP Foundation product line in the company’s partner booths:

  • HP (booth 2229), where two ScaleMP customers will describe their implementations of vSMP Foundation:
    • Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 5 pm: Roche
    • Wednesday, Nov. 17 at 5 pm: Southern Methodist University
  • IBM (booth 2539);
  • Mellanox Technologies (booth 2422); and
  • San Diego Supercomputer Center (booth 2239).
