Appro and CSC will offer Cluster Solutions based on AMD Opteron
Milpitas, CA - Appro, a leading developer of high-density, high-performance servers announced today a Appro’s new HyperBlade cluster utilizing AMD Opteron™ and Intel® Xeon™ processor-based servers will be incorporated as part of a Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) solution offering. This offering is based on a common goal of helping customers reduce complexity in deploying and managing integrated solutions while lowering their total cost of ownership (TCO). Appro HyperBlade Cluster Solution The Appro HyperBlade is designed for the High-Performance Computing (HPC) market and provides a fully integrated cluster solution for large-scale complex computations. With support for up to 80 compute blades -- up to 160 AMD Opteron™ processors or 160 Intel® Xeon™ processors in a single cluster, Appro HyperBlade architecture doubles the current rack density using 1U servers.
