IDT to Demonstrate Industry's First DDR3 Register to Run 1,867Mbps in Server at Supercomputing 2010 Conference

Integrated Device Technology has announced that it will be demonstrating its ultra-low power DDR3 register running at an industry-first 1,867Mbps in a standard server at the Supercomputing 2010 (SC10) conference. SC10 will take place from November 13 thru November 19 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The demonstration will show a commercially available server populated with 2 DIMMs per memory channel, each using the IDT SSTE32882KA1 DDR3 register running at 1,867Mbps at 1.35V. Thanks to a unique low-power architecture, the new IDT register provides users with performance improvements in a lower power envelope than competing solutions in the market today. The IDT DDR3 register provides as much as a 60-percent peak bandwidth improvement at 25 percent lower power consumption in the configuration being demonstrated. The SSTE32882KA1 is available now and has been in production for more than one quarter.
