Actiontec Honored as Electronics Lifestyles Award Winner by CEDIA

Actiontec Electronics honored by CEDIA, as its MoCA Network Adapter was named Best New Product in CEDIA's 2010 Manufacturers' Excellence Awards.

Each year CEDIA recognizes the best of the best in the residential electronic systems industry. Winners in the Best New Product Category were judged based on the following criteria: innovation, value to the technician, value to the business, and impact on the client's lifestyle.

Actiontec was first named as a Finalist in the Electronics Lifestyles Awards in August. Winners were announced at the CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles Awards Banquet on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Georgia World Congress Center.

"This award is a particularly meaningful honor since products are nominated and judged by CEDIA certified professionals," said Michael Ehlenberger, vice president of North American channel sales at Actiontec Electronics. "This represents a significant shift in the industry, as the focus moves towards enabling retrofit projects. The MoCA Ethernet to Coax Bridge significantly broadens the range of projects an ESC can go after by enabling high-performance network (IP) connectivity at every coax outlet without pulling new long wires."

The MoCA Network Adapter is designed for custom integrators who need to connect the growing number of Internet-enabled entertainment devices to their broadband connection. This Ethernet to Coax adapter utilizes MoCA (Multimedia over Coax) technology to turn the home's existing coaxial wires into a high-performance Ethernet network.

Easy to use, the adapter bridges the divide between Ethernet and MoCA networks for an uncompromised multimedia experience that's ideal for bandwidth-intensive applications such as HD video streaming (with multiple simultaneous HD streams), online gaming, and high-speed networking. Connections can be set up in minutes without the hassle or high costs of infrastructure modifications.
