CloudFuzion One Click Clusters on Amazon’s EC2

Axceleon has announced that its CloudFuzion product can automatically build High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters on Amazon’s EC2 within minutes with one mouse click. Axceleon’s CloudFuzion PaaS (platform as a service) allows customers to build standalone compute clusters easily on-demand on Amazon’s EC2 platform. These HPC clusters managed by CloudFuzion consist of a head node and can have any number of compute nodes. Compute nodes can be any size and any core count. HPC clusters are used in finance, science, power grid management, 3D animation, gaming and engineering applications.

“Amazon’s EC2 platform scales infinitely and is very cost effective. It is the logical choice for Axceleon to promote and launch its automated CloudFuzion one-click HPC compute farm,” said Mary Keogh, CEO of Axceleon. “We are strongly committed to the 3D animation industry and recently used CloudFuzion to build a 50 machine render farm on EC2 in 5 minutes. We used mental images “mental ray” premium instances for the render nodes and had the render farm rendering images immediately all launched and managed by CloudFuzion. Using partner products, like Aspera’s next generation file transfer software, scene data is moved quickly to and from the CloudFuzion EC2 render farm and makes rendering on-demand a reality for all studios,” commented Mary Keogh.
