Nuance Communications Improves Global Web Presence with Oracle Content Management

News Facts

To simplify content updates, ensure consistent branding and reduce its need to rely on Web developers for changes to its Web site, Nuance Communications deployed Oracle Universal Content Management, a component of Oracle Fusion Middleware.

Using Oracle Universal Content Management, Nuance unified its Web branding, as well as the look and feel of its Web properties, which were inconsistent as a result of acquisitions, legacy code, non-conforming micro sites, and the challenges of multi-lingual content management.

In addition, Oracle Universal Content Management has increased the efficiency of Nuance’s Web marketing with templates and automated workflows that enable business users to update, approve and publish Web content without assistance from IT.

Previously, all changes and updates to the site required a Web developer to make the change, which then had to be staged, reviewed and approved before going live. As Nuance’s product portfolio expanded, it was increasingly difficult to ensure that the Web site contained the latest information about each product.

Because Universal Content Management provides a streamlined and centralized content approval process, there are now safeguards against unsanctioned content appearing on its Web site, and it is easier for Nuance’s international teams to deliver multi-lingual content that is consistent with Nuance’s official messaging.

Nuance’s implementation of Oracle Universal Content Management, which was facilitated by TEAM Informatics, a Gold Level Member of the Oracle Partner Network, recently won the Oracle Enterprise 2.0 Blazer Award for External Facing Web Sites.
