Appro's Cluster Technology Demonstrations at SEG 2004

Appro, a leading provider of high-performance enterprise computing systems will be showcasing cluster technology demonstrations at the SEG show Denver, CO, October 10-13, 2004. Appro's booth # 2411 –Appro will demonstrate its new Storage Systems working with the Appro HyperBlade Cluster solution featuring server and storage management capabilities. The Appro Storage systems are fully compatible with the Appro HyperBlade Cluster Series providing storage solutions for fast and simple data consolidation to mission-critical, high-performance data center applications. Customers can configure the device as a DAS, NAS or SAN solution that can scale according to their needs. Appro will also announce and present its new compute on demand service allowing customers to tap into high performance computing resources when they need them, where they need them and at a predictable price. In addition, Jim Haig, CEO from Staag Imaging will share how Appro HyperBlade Cluster solutions combined with Staag's new proprietary Reverse-Time Migration algorithm provides the industry a new alternative in depth processing for maximizing imaging accuracy in existing datasets. Schedule time as follows: Monday, 10/11/04 from 10:00 – 10:20 am Tuesday, 10/12/04 from 1:00 – 1:20 pm Wednesday, 10/13/04 from 10:00 – 10:20 am Please contact Jim Haig at (832) 327-8224 or email at jhaig@staagimaging.com to reserve a time slot that best fit your schedule. AMD's booth # 2425--AMD will feature Appro's WH300 workstation to demo Paradigm's newest VoxelGeo - Volume-Based Seismic Interpretation software. The Appro workstation is configured with dual AMD Opteron 248 2.2GHz, 8 gigabytes of DDR400 memory, and one nVidia Quadro FX3400 graphics card. The demo will be displayed on dual-head flat panel monitors and will run on 64-bit Redhat Enterprise Linux 3.0. Powered by Hyper-Transport technology and 64-bit computing, unprecedented power and quality of data visualization is achieved with Appro's hardware and Paradigm's software. GeoCenter booth # 423—Geocenter will demonstrate Appro HyperBlade Cluster Solution based on Intel Xeon Processors utilizing Linux Red Hat operating system running Paraview, open-source visualization software from the Portland Group. Appro 1U-1224X servers will also be as part of the SGI cluster demo solution at the GeoCenter's booth. Appro's headquarters is in Milpitas, CA. Appro has an R&D and manufacturing center in Asia and a sales and service office in Houston, Texas. APPRO enables a variety of network computing applications by developing powerful, scalable, and reliable clusters, servers, storage subsystems and high-end workstations for the high-performance computing (HPC), Internet computing and cluster market.
