SGI to Showcase Latest Storage Solutions at SNW Europe
SGI has announced it will showcase new and advanced storage products and servers at the forthcoming SNW Europe, which takes place Oct. 26-27, in Frankfurt, Germany.
"SNW Europe is a great opportunity to showcase SGI's leadership in technical computing with our cutting-edge storage and server solutions," said George Skaff, chief marketing officer at SGI. "With products including Copan 400M, Origin 400 and InfiniteStorage 5000 on show, SNW Europe allows SGI to showcase how we are solving data management and capability issues."
In addition to a range of products on show, SGI partner ELD will be available at the booth, and at 1.55 p.m. on 26 October, Markus Gutgesell, a senior systems administrator at RTL II, a German Television Channel, will lead a presentation on how SGI has helped the company manage its rapidly expanding storage requirements by implementing a unique storage architecture both quickly and efficiently.

SGI will demonstrate new and advanced server and storage solutions including:
- COPAN 400M Native MAID -- By providing easy integration with existing data protection, data archiving, storage tiering and other data-aware applications, the SGI COPAN 400M effectively manages growth, costs and complications that arise from expanding data.
- InfiniteStorage 5000 -- The first to employ 6 Gb/s SAS technology, this is SGI's newest storage hardware product. Delivering a mix of IOPS and throughput, the InfiniteStorage 5000 offers improved performance, greater capacity and advanced energy saving.
- Origin 400 -- Known as a 'business in a box' blade system, the SGI's Origin 400 is particularly suited for small to medium-sized enterprises, offering seamless integration and growth capabilities.
