Using Glenn, the IBM Opteron 1350 at the Ohio Supercomputer Center

The purpose of this 2-day course is to show how to effectively use the Glenn Linux cluster at OSC. Users will learn to log onto the cluster, use the compilers, perform batch processing, and utilize the parallel programming facilities of the cluster. Topics covered will include:

•The Linux Operating System
•User Environment and Storage
•Program Development Tools and Libraries
•Batch Processing with TORQUE Resource Manager and Moab Scheduler
•Other Sources of Information

Prerequisites:
Familiarity with UNIX and either Fortran or C is preferred.
Method of Delivery:
Lecture and hands-on laboratory.
