Internap Performance IP Supports European Expansion of DTI Cloud Platform
Internap Network Services Corporation together with Digital Technology International (DTI) has announced the availability of DTI Cloud in Europe for time-sensitive, mission-critical publishing, built on Internap's Performance IP™ network.
With access to Internap's new Private Network Access Points (P-NAP) in Germany and Amsterdam, DTI has opened its first cloud facility in Europe, building on its software-as-a-service (SaaS) success in North America. The European expansion of DTI Cloud provides the news media industry with a complete cloud computing solution for newspapers and publishers around the world. DTI's international growth is driven by the needs of their new and on-premise global customers to move their solutions to DTI Cloud in order to capitalize on synergies between digital and print publishing.
DTI Cloud is the first fully integrated SaaS offering for newspaper companies and includes applications for circulation, advertising, content publishing, audience targeting and financials. Built on Internap's Performance IP network architecture with patented Managed Internet Route Optimizer (MIRO) technology, DTI creates new operational efficiencies, competitive pricing and advantages for an industry that has been required to make massive structural changes due to growing online competition and changing media landscape.
"DTI believes the innovative applications it has developed to run all aspects of a newspaper operation on the Web, in print and to mobile devices in DTI Cloud, creates a more cost-effective future for the publishing industry," said Jim Knudsen, director of Support Services at DTI. "Internap's reliable and high-performance worldwide network is the cornerstone of the DTI Cloud computing strategy. Thanks to the success we've had in the U.S. we have limited our data centers exclusively to Internap facilities, utilizing their full suite of Colocation, Managed Hosting, Content Delivery Network (CDN) and Performance IP solutions."
Internap's Performance IP network uses the company's MIRO technology to analyze network performance characteristics in real time and is backed by a Service Level Agreement (SLA) that ensures Internet traffic is routed over the best path 100 percent of the time. It is the foundation that creates a robust set of data center and CDN services, ensuring the best experience throughout the product line.
"To address the rapidly evolving business environment, DTI has transformed its business infrastructure to address changing customer demands and has found that its cloud applications have revolutionized the news media industry," said Peter Evans, senior vice president of marketing at Internap. "Internap's comprehensive solutions have been specifically engineered for reliability, performance and global reach. This provides customers like DTI with a level of service that is unsurpassed and immeasurable when it comes to adapting business models and addressing customer needs."
