BOXX Mobile Workstation Sets New Record in Cadalyst Labs
BOXX Technologies has announced that the GoBOXX mobile workstation has set a new record in Cadalyst labs test benchmarking. Cadalyst magazine is a leading source of information on computer-aided design, as well as related software and hardware technologies for the AEC, manufacturing, and geographic information system (GIS) industries.
In the First Look Review headlined "Blindingly fast mobile workstation sets a new record in Cadalyst Labs," contributing editor Ron LaFon details how GoBOXX succeeded in setting new standards for mobile workstation performance, and how one particular test left him awed by the record-breaking speed of GoBOXX.
"I then installed the NVIDIA accelerated driver for AutoCAD 2011," says LaFon, "rebooted the system -- and sat in amazement as the GoBOXX 1640 sped through the benchmark, generating a remarkable C2011 total index score of 885 with a single-loop time of 15 minutes. This result is a record high for any system running the C2011 benchmark test in Cadalyst Labs to date -- desktop or mobile."
Another result was a Cadalyst grade of A+ and a designation of GoBOXX as "highly recommended." The 1640 model tested features a quad core Intel Core i7 mobile processor, while a more powerful GoBOXX 2600 Series model is also available featuring a desktop level processor (six core or quad core Intel Core i7). GoBOXX allows users to create on the go without sacrificing professional workstation performance and, like the company's heralded 3DBOXX Series and rendering systems, is built for speed.
"Record-setting performance is critical to our customers because speed saves time, saves money, and increases productivity," said Shoaib Mohammad, Director of Marketing and Business Development at BOXX. "That's why BOXX remains the professional's choice. Our industry leading expertise and innovative integration of enterprise class components consistently produces solutions that test as the fastest in the world."
