ACM-Europe Serving the European Computing Science Community

The association for computing machinery (ACM) has launched a new effort, ACM Europe, to recognise and support European ACM members and activities.

The European community of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is significant, with more than 15 000 members, numerous ACM chapters, and a large number of ACM sponsored conferences and symposia. Like ACM itself, the European ACM community has been in existence for more than 50 years. The objective of the new approach is to serve ACM’s European members by improving the exchange of ideas, and raising awareness among the public and European decision-makers of important technical, educational and social issues related to computing.
