ExaGrid Joins Symantec Alliance Network
ExaGrid Systems has announced that it has joined the Symantec Alliance Network. The Symantec Alliance Network is a co-marketing initiative designed to help channel partners uncover new revenue opportunities with joint solutions from Symantec and select alliance partners. This advances ExaGrid's ongoing drive to deliver high performance and scalable disk backup with data deduplication system to the broad range of companies served by value added resellers. ExaGrid's product capabilities and cost-effective pricing model are ideal for mid-market and small enterprise companies who are struggling with the challenges of tape backup and want to transition to disk backup with deduplication.
Together, Symantec and ExaGrid will create custom incentives, solutions content, training and tools to help channel partners more effectively provide joint technology solutions to their customers. With integration between ExaGrid and Symantec's solutions, the Symantec Network Alliance helps channel partners drive more revenue and increase customer satisfaction with complete, industry-leading solutions that maximize the value of customers' IT investments. ExaGrid has achieved both basic and optimized duplication qualification for both Symantec Backup Exec 2010 and Symantec NetBackup 7.
"ExaGrid is dedicated to helping our channel partners generate more revenue, and the Symantec Alliance Network Partner Program is aligned with our channel strategy to deliver the fastest, most scalable disk backup with deduplication product to the market and offer the best channel programs to our partners," said Marc Crespi, vice president of product management, ExaGrid Systems. "ExaGrid is pleased to be part of Symantec's program and we are confident that our joint efforts will help our channel partners build on existing relationships, find new customers, and drive more sales."
Within the Symantec Alliance Network, channel partners receive education and resources that enable them to create more complete solutions for customers and differentiate themselves from competitors to maximize revenues with bigger deals. In addition to these enablement tools, channel partners who learn about and sell joint solutions from Symantec and ExaGrid will be rewarded with financial incentives.
"With the Symantec Alliance Network, we're providing our channel partners with an opportunity to find new and recurring revenue opportunities with joint solutions from Symantec and key alliance partners," commented Randy Cochran, vice president, North American Channel Sales Americas, Symantec Corp. "Together, we're helping channel partners differentiate themselves with more complete solutions for their customers, while rewarding sales efforts."
ExaGrid disk backup systems are designed to meet the needs of companies backing-up between 1TB and 100TBs of data. ExaGrid's unique approach to disk-based backup delivers unparalleled performance and scalability without requiring costly forklift upgrades as data grows. ExaGrid customers achieve fastest backup times because data is written directly to disk and data deduplication is performed post-process after the data is stored. In addition, ExaGrid's GRID scalability enables organizations to store up to a 100TB full backup plus retention. Performance scales with data growth since processing power, memory, and bandwidth are added along with storage capacity, and data loads are automatically balanced across all servers.
