HANOVER, GERMANY -- Appro announced that it is demonstrating its new HyperBlade Server Cluster, 1U and 2U dual/quad servers based on the upcoming AMD Opteron™ processor at AMD’s main booth in Hall 1 #2E11 at CeBIT 2003. These products will be available for purchase after the AMD Opteron™ processor’s launch on April 22, 2003. Appro HyperBlade Cluster Solution The upcoming Appro HyperBlade server is designed for the High-Performance Computational (HPC) market and will provide a fully integrated cluster solution for large-scale complex computations. It achieves high-density architecture by using commodity x86 components in a single cluster. With support for up to 80 compute blades -- up to 160 AMD Opteron™ processors, Appro HyperBlade architecture doubles the current rack density using 1U servers. Appro 1U and 2U Dual/Quad Servers and Cluster Solutions The Appro 1U and 2U dual/quad servers are the ideal building block for powerful Web appliances requiring the highest processor and memory bandwidth performance.
