PNY Showcases New Family of NVIDIA Fermi-based GPUs
PNY has announced that it is showcasing its new family of NVIDIA Fermi-based professional graphics boards: the NVIDIA Quadro 6000 by PNY, NVIDIA Quadro 5000 by PNY and NVIDIA Quadro 4000 by PNY. PNY and its partners will demonstrate how high performance workstations, featuring four CUDA-enabled NVIDIA Quadro by PNY graphics solutions are ushering in the new era of computational visualization. Partners exhibiting in the PNY Pavilion include: BOXX Technologies, GraphStream, JMR, NextComputing and TACC.
Featuring the industry's first-ever 6 GB of fast GDDR5 memory, as well as an increased number of NVIDIA CUDA parallel processing cores, Error Correction Codes (ECC) memory, and fast, true IEEE double precision floating point performance, the new NVIDIA Quadro 6000 by PNY accelerates professional visualization workflows by up to 5 times when compared to NVIDIA's previous GPU architecture.(1)
"The new NVIDIA Fermi-based Quadro solutions, with multi-GPU capabilities, more CUDA parallel processing cores and OpenGL 4.1, DirectX 11, DirectCompute and OpenCL support, enable users to richly visualize complex problems by delivering impressive scalable computation and scalable visualization capabilities," said Jeff Medeiros, director of marketing PNY Technologies. "It's remarkable technology that continues to lead the industry."
NVIDIA Quadro by PNY graphics boards are certified on over 100 professional software applications including Adobe Creative Suite 5, Autodesk Maya and 3ds Max, and SolidWorks. The NVIDIA Quadro by PNY graphics boards also support Microsoft DirectX 11.0, Open GL 4.1, and Shader Model 5.0 hardware acceleration, and have the ability to drive a variety of display types, including: CRTs, Digital Flat Panels, Projectors and HDTVs.
NVIDIA Quadro by PNY graphics boards come with a three-year warranty and are available from system integrators, value-added resellers, and distributors. PNY Technologies, Inc is the authorized NVIDIA Quadro channel partner for the Americas and Europe.
"The integration of NVIDIA Quadro by PNY boards has enabled us to produce the next generation of 3DBOXX Series workstations featuring four-GPUs," said Shoaib Mohammad, director of marketing and business development at BOXX. "By utilizing the Fermi-based GPUs, BOXX offers the ultimate solution for designers, engineers, scientists, and other professionals -- massively parallel computing power to handle the most complex and demanding projects."
"Many of GraphStream's customers need world-leading compute and visualization capabilities combined in a single, scalable, GPU-accelerated high-performance computing system. With superior features, performance and quality, the NVIDIA Quadro 6000 by PNY is the clear next-generation choice for these systems. No other GPU delivers results that are even remotely comparable," said Craig Dunwoody, CTO, GraphStream Incorporated.
"When combined with JMR's advanced power distribution and patented PCI-E expansion technologies, JMR and PNY now offer tools necessary to build impressive clustered GPU compute arrays that provide remarkable value," said Chuck McMakin, vice president business development/sales, JMR.
"Traditionally, mobile platforms such as laptops have lacked the ability to incorporate powerful, high performance graphics solutions developers need," says Bob Labadini, president & CTO of NextComputing. "We've designed our portable workstations to support the latest NVIDIA Fermi-based NVIDIA Quadro by PNY graphics boards, allowing developers across any industry to drastically accelerate their applications without being tethered to their desks, opening up new possibilities for collaboration and demonstration of their ideas, in any setting."
