Jet Airways and IBM Team Up to Herald New Era in Indian Aviation

Jet Airways, India's premier international airline, and IBM has announced that the companies have signed a strategic ten-year business transformation and information technology (IT) services agreement. Valued at US$62 million, the agreement is a step towards Jet Airways' journey of technology led business transformation, which will help the airline achieve significant growth by aligning the company's IT with business strategy.

Jet Airways plans to leverage IBM's domain knowledge of the global airline industry and its technology leadership to meet the group's business transformation objectives. As part of the deal, IBM will provide cutting-edge technology solutions to transform the airline's business areas such as airport operations, direct distribution and frequent flier programs. This engagement will help Jet Airways improve and integrate its IT systems to deliver a highly differentiated customer experience and improve its operational efficiency.

IBM will support Jet Airways with IT Infrastructure and application support services including employee transition, data center operations, central helpdesk support, server and storage operations, internet security services through the use of Tivoli suite, network management, SAP and other operating systems.
