Oracle Enhances Oracle Business Intelligence Applications
Oracle has announced the availability of Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) Applications Release 7.9.6.2.
This latest version features expanded integration with Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, updates to Oracle Project Analytics, and Oracle Procurement and Spend Analytics, and new certifications with Oracle and third-party software.
These enhancements and certifications further enable organizations to extend the value of their existing IT investments and gain critical insight into enterprise operations.
A component of Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle BI Applications are comprehensive, prebuilt analytic applications for Oracle and non-Oracle applications that enable customers to proactively make informed, actionable decisions and drive toward optimized performance across the enterprise.
Complete, Timely Supply Chain Planning and Order Management Intelligence for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne
Oracle BI Applications Release 7.9.6.2 features a new adapter that integrates the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Supply Chain Planning and Order Management modules with Oracle Supply Chain and Order Management Analytics.
This integration provides JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Supply Chain Planning and Order Management (versions 8.12 and 9.0) users with timely and accurate insight into order and inventory data to make better decisions in each stage of the order lifecycle, and improve financial performance and customer satisfaction.
In addition to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Oracle BI Applications Release 7.9.6.2 introduces certifications for the Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.1.2) and Oracle’s PeopleSoft Enterprise (9.1).
Updated Modules Help Organizations Forecast Costs, Analyze Spending
This new release allows customers to better leverage enterprise data to drive actionable insight into core business functions. Enhancements include:
More Accurate Project Commitment Information: Oracle Project Commitments, a new enhancement to Oracle Project Analytics, provides project stakeholders with a more accurate picture of the real costs of the project by including committed costs in the project snapshot. The addition of commitment metrics enables organizations to generate more precise forecast figures; measure performance against budget more accurately; and plan and manage cash flow with more solid information.
Improved Visibility into Spending Patterns: An addition to Oracle Procurement and Spend Analytics, Procurement Product Catalog enables users to analyze spending patterns based on product and purchasing category hierarchies – key for organizations engaged in strategic sourcing and supply risk management.
In use at more than 2,000 companies worldwide, Oracle BI Applications modules are also available for Financials, Human Resources, Sales, Service, Marketing, Loyalty, Price, Contact Center Telephony, and a range of vertical industries.

Oracle BI Applications Release 7.9.6.2 is certified with Oracle Database 11g Release 2 and Oracle Exadata Database Machine.
