Providing mission-critical applications to thousands of companies requires high-performance wide area network (WAN) connectivity across distance. Advent Software is addressing this by standardizing on Silver Peak System's data center class WAN optimization appliances.

Providing mission-critical applications to the investment management operations of more than 4,500 client firms around the world, Advent requires high-performance WAN connectivity between 21 global branch offices and its data centers. Advent selected Silver Peak for the real-time network optimization techniques that allowed Advent to achieve more than ten-times improvement in application and throughput performance. This ultimately reduced Advent's IT operational costs while improving application performance between distributed branch offices and regionalized data centers.
