Therap Services Expands Health Services Infrastructure with Oracle Servers

Oracle’s Sun Fire Servers with Oracle Database Support More than One Billion Records

Expanding its IT infrastructure to support rapid growth, Therap Services, LLC has deployed Oracle’s latest Sun Fire x86 servers running Oracle Solaris, the #1 enterprise operating system, with Oracle Database 11g and Oracle GoldenGate 11g software.

Therap Services, LLC provides an integrated, Web-based solution for automating the documentation and communication needs of agencies supporting people with disabilities, and serves customers in 45 U.S. states, and multiple Canadian provinces.
The combination of Oracle Database 11g and Oracle GoldenGate with Sun Fire X2270 M2 and Sun Fire X4270 M2 servers provides Therap Services a secure and reliable data foundation. Oracle GoldenGate provides the ability to replicate transactions in real time between two data centers, helping health services agencies gain immediate access to the system for vital filings and real-time reporting.
Offering an electronic alternative to the immense amount of paper work that many care providers complete manually, Therap Services stores more than 1 billion records and with its Oracle solution, is easily scaling to accommodate an expected annual growth rate of 100 percent over the next three years.
Oracle’s Sun Fire servers enable faster processing, demonstrating a ten-fold increase in processing speed over legacy systems during the testing phase.

“Our Oracle solution provides the high availability, security and reliability our clients in the social enterprise and health services sectors require,” said Richard Robbins, Chief Executive Officer, Therap Services, LLC. “With our Sun Fire servers, we’ve cost-effectively scaled our IT infrastructure with energy efficient, high performance systems to meet our rapid growth.”
