HMK Computer Technologies to resell Texas Memory Systems’ solid state storage
Texas Memory Systems today announced a resale agreement with Germany-based HMK Computer Technologies GmbH. Under the agreement HMK will help large enterprises, research facilities, and universities across Europe to accelerate databases and scientific applications using Texas Memory Systems’ RamSan solid state disks. Super high speed solid state disks, such as the RamSan line from Texas Memory Systems, are strategically used by IT departments to accelerate enterprise applications like databases, OLTP, OLAP, modelling and video editing by up to 2,500% without adding processors, RAM, hard drives and monolithic RAID. Faster applications can support more concurrent users and handle more simultaneous transactions. Typical users include corporations in the financial, telecom, broadcasting, and e-commerce sectors as well as government, military, and research organisations. In Europe, CCP Games, the Icelandic award-winning developer of the multiplayer online role playing game EVE Online, has achieved a 40x improvement in performance thanks to TMS and much to the delight of EVE’s 28,000+ concurrent users. “HMK added the Texas Memory Systems line of solid state disks because of its long-standing reputation for high performance and reliability,” said Dr. Klaus Heihoff, Managing Director of HMK. “TMS has been a leader in the high performance computing field for over a quarter century. Such experience is rare in the high tech industry and yet it is pivotal when customers trust us with their most critical data.” “Adding HMK to our roster of European business partners was a natural decision for TMS,” said Woody Hutsell, Executive Vice President at Texas Memory Systems. “HMK has the kind of expertise and services that sophisticated organisations value and demand. HMK has a reputation for working closely with their customers to ensure individual needs are met.” Texas Memory Systems and HMK are sponsoring SNW Europe in Frankfurt. Texas Memory Systems will be at stand #43 and HMK will be at stand #24 between Monday 4th and Wednesday 6th September.
