Xiotech Awarded Storage Contract By The State Of New York

Xiotech Corp announced that it has been awarded a storage contract by the State of New York Executive Department, Office of General Services, Procurement Services Group. The contract recognizes Xiotech as a qualified provider of storage solutions by the State of New York, enabling the company to expedite the sales process and avoid lengthy procurement cycles, while offering New York agencies the opportunity to buy Xiotech's storage networking products at prenegotiated terms and conditions. Xiotech's flagship product, Magnitude 3D, offers government agencies unmatched data resilience, unparalleled simplicity of management and the lowest total cost of ownership available in storage today. "The ability to store and manage mission-critical data has traditionally been a complex and costly endeavor for all government agencies," said Mike Stolz, executive vice president of marketing. "Magnitude 3D simplifies storage management and offers government agencies the opportunity to deploy enterprise-class SAN capabilities at a reduced and prenegotiated price. We are pleased to have this qualification and look forward to longstanding relationships with government agencies within the State of New York." As a recipient of the award, Xiotech joins a select group of suppliers who have met the State of New York's business and technical specifications. The storage contract awarded to Xiotech runs through July 11, 2009, with the option to extend for an additional five years. Xiotech has recently been awarded a Master Price Agreement by the Materials Management Division (MMD) of the Minnesota Department of Administration on behalf of the Western States Contracting Alliance (WSCA) and the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO), making the company a qualified provider of storage solutions for public sector organizations in the participating states.
