"The acquisition of Triple Stor gives a significant boost to transtec's position in the storage segment, “ said transtec CEO, Dieter Weißhaar. He also pointed out that Triple Stor's customers will benefit from transtec's strong position in manufacturing and logistics. In particular, Triple Stor resellers will now have access to the entire transtec product line. Yalcin Dincer, who formerly managed Triple Stor GmbH, will become a member of transtec's executive board and vice president of transtec's new Competence Centre for Storage, which will greatly benefit from his experience. The firm has a strong customer base and a good knowledge of the storage market, in which it is active in the direct-attached storage, network-attached storage and Storage-Area-Network areas, as well as in providing ATA, SCSI and Fibre-Channel solutions. The acquisition of Triple Stor continues the strengthening of transtec's position in the supercomputing area that began with last year's acquisition of Dr. Koch Computertechnik AG and the founding of the Competence Centre for Clustering.
