Oracle has submitted more benchmarks for Oracle9i Application Server, on the broadest range of hardware and software platforms, than any other vendor. This result underscores Oracle's sustained commitment to the performance and cost- effectiveness of its application server technology. To date, Oracle is the leader of Performance and Price/Performance in multiple SPECjAppServer2001 Benchmark categories and holds the world record for best Performance and Price/Performance in the ECperf benchmark of J2EE application servers. The following benchmark numbers for Oracle9i Application Server on HP rp8400 and Superdome servers represents the top MultipleNode SPECjAppServer2001 Performance result published to-date. Oracle and HP focused their benchmarking efforts on high-throughput dual and multi-node configurations, reflecting real-world configurations deployed by customers. Multiple Node - Best Performance: 2,529.10 BOPS (average number of successful business operations per second) with a price of 1,342.74 $/BOPS on HP rp8400 servers running with Oracle9i Application Server Release 2 and the HP-UX 11i operating system.
