New Compaq Storage Array Offers Embedded Gadzoox Networks 2Gb 6-Port Switch

SAN JOSE, CA -- Gadzoox Networks Inc., (Nasdaq: ZOOX), a global supplier of intelligent storage area network (SAN) products, announced today that Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE: CPQ) is offering the Gadzoox Networks' 2Gb Open Fabric 6-port switch as an option in their new StorageWorks Modular SAN Array 1000 (MSA 1000). Compaq chose Gadzoox Networks for its cost effective 2Gb technology and time to market capability. Customized to Compaq's specifications to meet the requirements of the entry-level to mid-range SAN customer, the embedded Fabric Switch 6 was developed by Gadzoox Networks and is based on the Company's Slingshot switch platform.
