(NASDAQ:QLGC) today announced that QLogic's SANblade 2200 Series Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBAs) are shipping on board IBM's TotalStorage Network Attached Storage (NAS) 200 and 300 products. Using QLogic's Fibre Channel connectivity, IBM's NAS products can connect up to 90 disk drives and over 3 terabytes (TB) of storage capacity, making it easy for customers to rapidly implement open, interoperable storage networks in large branch offices and small enterprises. QLogic SANblade HBAs are based on the company's exclusive ISP controller chip architecture. With a dedicated on-board I/O processor that performs with superior efficiency in real-world applications, QLogic's ISP controller chips are incorporated in hundreds of OEM-installed solutions.
