Voltaire and LSI to Cross-Certify InfiniBand Storage Products
Voltaire today announced that it is working with LSI Corporation to cross-certify the company's InfiniBand-based storage systems with Voltaire switches and software. "LSI is focused on delivering leading storage technologies to address the needs of high-performance data centers," said Julie Ryan, director of alliances, Engenio Storage Group, LSI. "We are pleased to work with Voltaire, a leader in the InfiniBand market, to bring solutions to market that will improve the scalability and performance of enterprise storage systems." As part of the certification process, several companies representing industries including financial services, media and entertainment and telecommunications are evaluating the interoperability and performance increase available through the combination of LSI and Voltaire offerings. "Using native InfiniBand storage in the data center can bring tremendous price/performance improvements to solutions such as clustered databases and digital media applications," said Asaf Somekh, vice president of strategic alliances, Voltaire.
