Mercury Computer Systems Names Terry Ryan to Senior Management Team

Mercury Computer Systems named Terry M. Ryan as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Federal Government Businesses for Mercury. Mr. Ryan is a recognized industry and former government leader in the defense and intelligence space, with more than 20 years in the national security community. Most recently, Mr. Ryan was senior vice president, Strategic Development for Science Applications International Corporation, Inc. (SAIC, Inc.), a publicly traded research and engineering company focused on solving complex technical problems in various areas including national and homeland security. At SAIC, Inc., he was responsible for overseeing strategy development and mergers and acquisitions for the Intelligence, Security and Technology Group. Prior to SAIC, Inc., Mr. Ryan served as vice president and director for SRA International's C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) Center, where he directed intelligence community-related programs and contracts. During his tenure, he was appointed to the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board's Transformation Advisory Group, and to the CIA Director's Constellation Architecture Panel. Prior to that, Mr. Ryan served as president, CEO, and director of Adroit Systems, Inc., where he initiated a strategic growth campaign that resulted in a 125% growth in organic revenues in three years. In 2001, Mr. Ryan was recognized as one of the top four entrepreneurs in the Greater Washington-Baltimore area as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Finalist. Mr. Ryan also held pivotal senior executive positions in the Department of Defense. As a senior member of the Office of the Secretary of Defense, he was responsible for overseeing the acquisition and requirements for the Department's intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems and was the deputy director of the Defense Airborne Reconnaissance Office. Mr. Ryan also served as a Professional Staff Member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Mr. Ryan's 10-year military term included a position as senior intelligence analyst for the U.S. Office of Naval Intelligence, and infantry commander and intelligence officer for the U.S. Marine Corps.
