Intel’s Most Efficient Processor Line Now Featured in Rackable Systems’ Low Wattage Servers: Rackable Systems today announced the adoption of the newest Intel Xeon processor series into its broad family of energy-efficient servers, available within 30 days. The new low wattage processors draw a mere 50 watts of power, enabling even greater performance per watt per square foot when paired with Rackable Systems’ award-winning servers and storage systems. Rackable Systems unveiled the world’s first cabinet of publicly-demonstrated quad-core servers in August of 2006 at the Intel Developer Forum.
