LSI Logic Corporation announced today that its MegaRAID Ultra320 SCSI adapters, Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters (HBAs) and Ultra320 SCSI HBAs ( http://lsilogic.com/storage ) were selected by ION Computer Systems for use in its family of storage servers. ION Computer Systems ( http://storage.ioncomputer.com/ ) builds custom servers and workstations for corporate users, embedded applications and high performance computing. "The LSI Logic storage adapters we have standardized into our server configurations, spanning from SCSI, Fibre Channel and RAID, allow us to offer the Channel a complete line of turnkey, cost-effective storage solutions across several business critical interfaces," said Paul Scheremeta, vice president of marketing for ION Computer Systems. The SS300 storage server features FalconStor software, which was recently certified interoperable with LSI Logic Fibre Channel HBAs.
