Rackable Systems, Inc. Expands Leadership Capabilities
SAN JOSE, Calif., Rackable Systems(TM), Inc., (www.rackable.com) a leading provider of rack mount high-density compute and server storage solutions, announced today that it has expanded its leadership capabilities with the selection of Robert J. Bodnar, the company's new Vice President of Worldwide Sales. He will be responsible for overseeing Rackable's direct and indirect sales efforts on a worldwide basis. Bob comes to Rackable after 12 years at EMC Corp where he was Vice President of the Western Region of EMC for 10 years, growing revenues from $25M per year to over $350M. Additionally, Bob ran the EMC Alliances Organization for the Asia Pacific Region for 2 years and during that time alliance revenues tripled in the Asia Pacific Region. Most recently, Bob served as Vice President, Strategic Alliances, GiantLoop Networks. "Bob has the proven skills to execute on Rackable's short and long-term business plans," said Tom Barton, Rackable President, and CEO. "He understands the dynamics of our business, industry and current technology climate. Bob's experience in domestic and international sales, and his track record of successfully scaling field operations to deliver revenue streams in the hundreds of millions of dollars made him the perfect choice for Rackable." Earlier this month, Rackable announced its first move toward worldwide expansion in a strategic partnership with PTI Ventures. The companies will work together to increase the access Rackable's customers have to high quality, low cost component, and systems manufacturing companies in Taiwan.
