MINNEAPOLIS, MN -- H.A. Technical Solutions (HATS), a leading provider of high availability and data replication software solutions for OEM and enterprise markets, certified its H.A. Clusters(TM) High Availability Clustering and H.A. EchoStream(TM) Data Replication software on IBM's eServer iSeries, pSeries, xSeries, and zSeries servers running Linux during rigorous testing at IBM's Porting Test Center in Boston, Mass. According to H.A. Technical Solutions' Executive Vice President LeRoy D. Earl, "As an IBM Partner, these test results help us support IBM across the entire eServer product line. We tested the file server and database versions of H.A. EchoStream in numerous configurations and H.A. Clusters' failover capabilities between dissimilar systems." In all test scenarios, when network operations between each system were interrupted, the correct operation of the cluster was confirmed. H.A. Clusters failed over as directed and restored operations. In addition, numerous H.A. EchoStream tests validated correct replication. Files were modified, whole directories were copied, files were deleted, the replication process was interrupted and restored, and the source server was crashed in order to test the software's data recovery function. The IBM Porting Center set up a wide area network (WAN) that connected multiple iSeries, pSeries, xSeries, and zSeries systems running the Linux operating system; in addition, the pSeries system was tested running IBM's AIX operating system. In total, several dozen combinations of systems were tested and certified.
