SANgate Systems Names Former EMC Executive Doron Kempel as CEO

SOUTHBOROUGH, MA -- SANgate Systems, Inc., innovators of the Enterprise Storage Appliance, today announced that Doron Kempel, former vice president and general manager of the Media Solutions Group at EMC Corporation, has joined the company as chairman and chief executive officer (CEO). A highly experienced executive in the high technology sector, Kempel will be instrumental in providing strategies to grow SANgate into a leadership position in the enterprise data management market. In his new role, Mr. Kempel will be responsible for all operational aspects of the company including business development, engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and sales. In this role, Kempel planned and launched the organization as an autonomous global division consisting of dedicated engineering, sales, marketing, business development, professional services and other functions. Over a three year period, Kempel oversaw the development and integration of technical solutions spanning multiple technologies; established and managed a global independent sales force, alliances and marketing efforts; led the acquisition of two companies, and grew the business unit to a multi-million dollar revenue source for the company. Before joining EMC, Kempel served as vice president of sales and marketing for Imedia Corporation, a privately held company that produced routing and re-multiplexing systems for digital video. In addition, Kempel has held positions with Robertson, Stephens & Company's Corporate Finance, Technology Group; The Israel Corporation LTD, one of Israel's largest holding and investment companies; and served in multiple command roles as an officer in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
