Fujitsu Selects Stordis as EMEA Distributor for XG Series Ethernet Switches
Fujitsu has announced that it has selected Stordis as an EMEA distributor for the Fujitsu XG series of Ethernet switches, including the new XG2600 high-performance, ultra-low latency switches.
"Fujitsu switches are the best on the market, making them the perfect complement to our existing product portfolio, which is focused on low-latency, high-performance networking and storage infrastructure," said Alexander Jeffries, managing director at Stordis. "By integrating the Fujitsu switches into our large stock of best-in-class networking cards, cabling and transceivers, Stordis is now able to offer resellers the lowest-latency 10GbE networking solutions on the market."
As network bandwidth increases, ultra-fast switching and network latency are increasingly critical for maintaining true network performance. In time-sensitive, high-performance computing environments that rely on real-time applications-including financial trading environments, live video streaming and communications-low-latency networking solutions are mission-critical.
"Stordis' expertise and reputation as a focused, value-added distributor makes it the ideal choice to deliver the Fujitsu XG series of Ethernet switch products to the European market," said Vic Herring, vice president of sales and marketing for Fujitsu Frontech North America Inc. "In addition, Stordis' significant stock of complementary cards, cables, and infrastructure ensures that it can deliver the highest quality, end-to-end solutions to the channel. Companies around the world depend on the Fujitsu low-latency switches for their performance, quality, ease-of-deployment and excellent total cost of ownership. We are pleased to work with Stordis to deliver these industry-leading solutions to the EMEA."
As a part of its distribution role, Stordis will also hold spares and provide support for the Fujitsu XG series of Ethernet switches, including full technical assistance and next-working-day delivery for replacement units.
