Ethernet Alliance to Celebrate Its First Anniversary at Interop Las Vegas 2007

More than 30 Ethernet Alliance members to showcase the latest in Ethernet technologies: The Ethernet Alliance has announced its participation at Interop Las Vegas 2007, May 20-25 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Booth #2265 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Ethernet Alliance will also celebrate its one-year anniversary. "The mission of the Ethernet Alliance is to support the continued success and expansion of Ethernet," said Brad Booth, president, Ethernet Alliance. "Our membership has grown to over 70 distinguished members, and we are excited to officially celebrate our one-year anniversary at Interop Las Vegas." Ethernet Alliance members will showcase the latest in Ethernet technologies at Interop Las Vegas, including 10GBASE-LRM, 10GBASE-T, Backplane Ethernet, Power over Ethernet (POE) plus, and Data Center. Ethernet Alliance members will also demonstrate multi-vendor interoperability for 10GBASE-KR, 10GBASE-LRM, 10GBASE-T and POE plus. These technologies are based on either recently completed or emerging Ethernet standards - taking Ethernet into data centers, wiring closets, and building fiber riser backbones, as well as to corporate offices and wireless hotspots, powering devices such as wireless access points. "More than 30 member companies representing passive and active components, network systems, and physical infrastructure will show over 100 different devices and products, many of which will be exhibited publicly for the first time at Interop Las Vegas," Booth said. "Our members truly represent the diversity within the Ethernet industry, and we look forward to showcasing the innovative technologies that Ethernet has to offer."
